The CMA Awards 2011 was one of the main entertainment programs of the year and a myriad of country music stars were present at the event. The entire event was marked by a number of good performances by various country music stars, who made the entire event quite memorable.

This year, Taylor Swift won the top award at Wednesday night's Country Music Association Awards, she bagged the Entertainer of the Year award. As soon as she came on the stage, she proclaimed, "You have made my year!" After receiving the award, Swift gushed, "I'm so happy right now."

Swift leaped from her seat with her arms in the air and jumped up and down before hugging her mother and good friend Tim McGraw.

This was the second consecutive time that Taylor Swift was named "Entertainer of the Year." Swift's name has now been written down in history books, as she has become the second female artist in CMA history, after Barbara Mandrell, to have won the Entertainer of the Year award two times in a row.

"This is thanks to all the fans who filled up those stadiums and arenas all over the world this year," Swift said.

Apart from Taylor Swift, some other, prominent winners of the CMA Awards 2011 include Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and Tim McGraw.

The Band Perry took home the maximum number of awards. The group took home three titles, which include New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for their hit "If I Die Young" and Single of the Year again for the same song. The person who accepted the Song of the Year award for the group was Kimberly Perry.

"I truly believe that [the song] would've been written with or without me. It just always felt like a song that was meant to be here," Perry said.

The newlyweds, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, were both quite surprised to receive their awards at the CMA Awards 2011. Shelton received the Best Male Vocalist award, while Lambert bagged the Best Female Vocalist award.

The Album of the Year award went to Jason Aldean for his album titled My Kinda Party. He also won the Musical Event of the Year award for his duet with Kelly Clarkson.

The list of winners also includes artists like Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter.
