Gwendolyn Ruais won Miss World Philippines 2011 during
the coronation night held Sunday, September 18, 2011, at the PICC.

Gwendolyn Ruais becomes the first ever Filipina to win such pageant, whose winner will be the Philippines' bet to the Miss World 2011 beauty pageant to be held in London this November.
Twenty (25) candidates competed in the 1st Miss World Philippines pageant, which was aired via GMA 7 and was hosted by Dingdong Dantes, Carla Abellana and Isabelle Daza.
