Typhoon "Bagyong" Ambo Update (June 2, 2012) - PAGASA

PAG-ASA has issued a weather forecast earlier today June 2, 2012 on Typhoon Ambo or Bagyong Ambo. Read the the following statement below:
Tropical Storm “Ambo” has slightly intensified as it continues to move North Northwestward.
At 4AM today, the center of Trop. Storm “AMBO” was estimated based on satellite, radar and surface data at 220 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.1deg.N., 124.6deg.E).
Maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Forecast to move north northwest at 13kph.
Tropical Storm AMBO is expected to be at 240 km East Northeast of Aparii, Cagayan by tomorrow morning. It will be at 360 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes by Monday morning. By Tuesday morning, it will be at 680 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes.
Residents living in low lying areas under signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. AMBO is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon that will brings rains over the western section of central and southern Luzon and Visayas.
Public storm warning signal #1 is hoisted over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Pollilo Island, Aurora, Isabela. and Cagayan.
