UFC 139 Results: Henderson Wins Against Rua via Unanimous Decision

Last Saturday's action-packed Ultimate Fighting Championship 139 (UFC 139) event at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California was a huge success if the loud cheering from the crowd would only be the basis.
In one of the greatest fights in the history of the UFC, veteran fighter Dan Henderson survived a ten-minute assault by former light heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua to get a unanimous decision victory in the main event of Saturday’s blockbuster offering.
Henderson dictated the first three rounds in his UFC return, landing strong shots that somehow Rua was able to withstand. Sensing he was behind, Rua launched a ferocious rally in the final two rounds, peppering his opponent with shots that would later land Henderson in the hospital. All three judges, however, thought Henderson won by the slimmest of margins, giving the American the victory over the Brazilian on identical 48-47 scores.
