Melanie Amaro was declared as the ‘The X Factor’ grand winner for its first season. She bested her co-finalist Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik. She take home the $5 million contract with Epic records and a Pepsi TV commercial.

Here’s Melanie Amaro’s “road” to stardom from Wikipedia:
Amaro auditioned for the first season of the talent show The X Factor in front of judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid singing the song “Listen” by Beyoncé Knowles. After becoming one of the Top 32 finalists, she performed Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There” in the judges’ house, in front of her mentor Cowell.
Amaro was initially not chosen to be part of the Top 16 and was eliminated from the girls category. However, Cowell surprised her at her Florida home and revealed that she was invited back to the competition after he decided he had made a mistake in not including her.
Amaro eventually made it to the live shows in Cowell’s girls category, along with Rachel Crow, Drew, Tiah Tolliver and Simone Battle. The addition of Amaro brought the total number of finalists qualified to perform during the first live show to 17.
On December 15th, she won a place in the final along with Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik. On December 22nd, she came in first place in the first season of The X Factor. As a result of winning The X Factor, Amaro won a $5 Million recording contract with Epic Records, making it the largest guaranteed prize in television history. As part of the prize, she will also be appearing in a Pepsi commercial set to air during Super Bowl XLVI on NBC.

Below is the controversial FB post of Celine Acut demoting the Typhoon Sendong Victims:
“almost all of the victims are poor families” based from what she saw in the news. She opined that that the said typhoon victims are “better” dead because according to her, “whats the point of living a life which is full of hunger, at least they are now resting with peace..they are worthless, they are unproductive and their lives has no value at al.. they are just making more problems to the society so as i said its better that they have died this early.. they don’t desserve a chance to live because they are poor, they are not VIP anyways.”

After the recent video leaked on YouTube about the alleged abortion of Rhian Ramos in Singapore here comes another latest scandalous video of Rhian Ramos and Mo Twister believed to be uploaded by Mo Twister last December 20, 2011 is now starting to go viral especially in social networking sites.

The video shows the 34-year-old DJ/TV host (Mo Twister) and the 21-year-old GMA-7 actress (Rhian Ramos) kissing, touching, and having a "private moment" in front of the laptop camera.
The video lasted for more than 4 minutes and several copies of it were uploaded on YouTube by various anonymous users, some of which were already deleted by the video sharing site itself due to policy violation.

The evil Queen (Julia Roberts) looking to get rid of the beautiful competition and Snow White (Lily Collins) ending up with the dwarfs. The twist here is that Snow and her enemy are competing for the love of Prince Andrew Alcott (Armie Hammer) and there’s a lot more plot around winning his heart. Oh, and the dwarfs are a bandit bunch who eventually help Snow take on the evildoer. Nathan Lane plays Brighton, the hapless, bungling servant to the Queen.
The film also stars Sean Bean (The Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), Mare Winningham, and Michael Lerner. The movie is directed by Tarsem Singh.
Mirror Mirror opens in theaters on March 16th, 2012.

The “Born this Way” singer/songwriter has grossed $170 million on 137 shows in 22 countries over the past 12 months. And Earnings from radio play, recorded music sales and endorsement deals from Polaroid, Virgin Mobile, Monster Cable, Viva Glam, and a lot more!
As for music sales, Gaga earned $90 million in the last 12 months, more than the combined earnings of second and third placers Taylor Swift ($45 million) and Katy Perry ($44 million) Forbe's added.

"Bagyong Sendong" (Typhoon Sendong) continued to intensify as it moves to its new target, Palawan.Sendong hopefully the last weather disturbance in the country for 2011, crossed Mindanao and dumped rain across the area leading to flash floods in Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro. Scores have been reported dead and may others are still missing. Iligan City, Cagayan de Oro and other areas are now appealing for help from the national government in the wake of this disaster.

In the latest weather bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said ‘Bagyong Sendong’ was last tracked at 180 kilometers west of Dumaguete City with maximum winds of 75 kilometers per hour. Sendong is moving west northwest at 30 kph. Heavy rainfall will still be experienced in areas within the storm’s 400 kilometer diameter. Signal number 2 is hoisted over Palawan, Southern Negros and Zamboanga del Norte while signal number 1 is raised over Southern Cebu, Siquijor and Northern Negros, Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Occidental, and Cuyo island. Tropical storm Sendong is expected to be at 300 km west southwest of Puerto Princesa City by Sunday morning.

Tech Companies to see Big Improvements: Rackspace’s rating increased to 3.9 from 3.1 last year. NVIDIA receives a 3.5 this year, up from 3.0 last year, while Hewlett-Packard climbed to 2.7 this year from 2.2 under Leo Apotheker’s reign last year. Samsung Austin Semiconductor comes in at 2.5, up from a 1.9.
Top 5 Tech CEOs: National Instruments CEO James Truchard and NetApp’s Tom Georgens received 100% approval ratings this year, followed by Apple’s Tim Cook (96%) and Synopsys’ Aart de Geus (96%). Rounding out the top 5 is Intel’s Paul Otellini with a 93% approval rating.
Most Improved Tech CEOs: eBay’s John Donahoe saw the biggest boost in approval ratings this year; as his rating climbed to 65% approval from 30% last year. Sapient CEO Alan Herrick climbed to 85% from 58%. Analog Devices’ CEO Jerry Fishman climbed to 80% from 55%, and Intuit’s Brad Smith climbed to 84% from 60%.

iPad 3 is reportedly set to be launched in February or March next year (2012). Reports added that iPad 3 will have a retina display which doubled the resolution of the current iPad or about around 2048×1536 resolution.
